I think you misunderstand the term compatibility.
For example the GT-3000, its output resolution is 800x600 maximum so you are not getting 720p or 1080i, it can take those and make them 800x600 so it is 'compatible'. Regardless of how you feed it the input, even through the hdfury it only takes the image and downscales it to 800x600.
Whereas the GT-7000 actually has an output resolution of 720p so it is hd ready (1280x720), so if you feed it a 720p image it will actually output a 720p image so it is an actual hd projector instead of being 'compatible'.
And then theres the differences in brightness, contrast, throws, so based on how far away the pj is will give different sized images, and lens shift which allows you to put the pj at an angle to the wall or zoom the image.
The same way a tv for £50 is not going to have the same pq and is going to be different in every way to a tv that is £3000 even if they have the same inputs.
Theres probably other things as well. All pj's are different, no offence but you clearly need to do some really basic googling before doing anything.
