I doubt the Samsung will be superior to the Panasonic in most areas, the G10 looks very good indeed -

Panasonic Viera TX-L37G10 Full Review, Television Reviews on CNET UK looks like the HD image is very good with decent contrast, very good motion (as with other Panasonics) and wide viewing angles, it says that SD feeds suffers a bit though, but that's the case on many 1080p sets. And another here -
