Maybe but if you use just one picture then I think thats classed as psudo HDR, this wiki is worth a read:

Anyway - i use 3 as my 450d has something called AEB which I set to -2,0,+2 exposures and makes life easy with HDR (maybe a little too easy!).

Couldn't resist another one last night.....
