One other comment -

Mine came with a CD-ROM to run on my PC to register for my "12 month warranty". However, on the back of the instruction manual is a statement that "this TV is sold with at least 2 years warranty", presumably meaning that in some countries the warranty is longer than that.

Anyone know what the standard Sony warranty really is on this set?
