How to examine amplifier: specifications
I'm looking to buy an amplifier and speakers.
I would like to know what amplifier specifications are important to consider.

Can I tell from the specs if the frequencies will have a proper balance: not bright in the treble; base not boomy etc.

I am looking for something on a budget. I would appreciate references to any online sources or magazines for reviews. I will probably be looking at something used. I Also would like to hear any suggestions.
