Thanks alot guys for all the replies much appreciated.

Have looked over the posts and decided to see what Sky can do for me if i ring them up, see what bargains or deals they offer for me as a new subscriber.
If thing's don't work out on the SkyHD front and decide it is too expensive will probably end up going for Sky+... not mostly what i would like but least it gets me started and can always upgrade

Out of interest, does anyone know can you downgrade a subscription? (i am assuming after a 12month contract expires )
