SkyHD - Cost! regarding a new subscriber

Hi guys,

I'm hoping this is ok in this section.

I am currently looking at going for SkyHD, after browsing the website (sky) i have found that it's actually really expensive going for the mixes i want and the option ive made.

I am looking at the 'Variety mix' and 'Sky Sports mix' and obviously the 'HDmix'

I have an HDtv so this is the main reason ive chosen this option, Sky+ would be great but am worried about the picture quality of a scart connection

Anyhow, back to my question. As a new subscriber to sky are there any deals or offer's that can be made being that i am after the 'high-end' subscribtion that sky offer.
I know obviously to some it may not see that way but with the current recession going on and the way things are i'm sure not everyone is plugging for SkyHD (though could be wrong)
Are sky that bothered about giving new customers a 'good deal' as far as what i am currently seeking?
I dont want skytalk or skybroadband. It currently works out at £45.25 amonth according to the sky website! (it may just be me but it does seem alittle high, i guess i could just be being unreasonable)

I'd be greatly for any replies, thanks alot
