Yes, 1.5Mbps is more than enough for things like xbox live... As you say Kevin the 50mb looks great, but I really can't believe that it will be STM/restriction free once the rollout is coming up to completion - the statement from "the register" just seemed kinda of fishy.
, I had a similar experience with xbox live interruptions on Virgin.... no problems on O2!
