please help i read and read and dont understand which encoding standard I have to use by upscaling a DVD.
The TV should encode with 709 but the material on the DVD is 601 and what does the DVD-Player send when I choose 1080P, ITU709 or ITU601. Which standard I have to choose for an upscaled DVD on the HCFR software. ITU709, ITU601 or PAL/SECAM and is PAL/SECAM the same encoding matrix like ITU601 (NTSC).
next question: I want to calibrate my normal SD Digital TV but there is no possibillity to create test pattern over my Digital box (Scart). Can I use the DVD-Player over Scart to get nearly correct values for my Digital box ?
Very complicated for me...
