Thanks chaps - it's obviously only me then, so I needn't worry about radiation from my headset.
Although i do now have to worry about a potential ear infection or maybe have a wisdom tooth removed.
Oh well, all in the name of gaming.
I tried switching mic to my right ear and that was too strange.
