That's a great setup you have and what a kitchen! (ours currently looks like yours did!).

Regarding a remote, the Logitech Harmony One is well regarded. If you need radio frequency as well as infra-red (to control kit in cupboards/other rooms or to power on remote plugs) have a look at the Harmony 895. The cheaper Harmonies (525 and 555) are also good pieces of kit.

Yes, any of the Pixar titles look fantastic in HD.
