Re: 1080 p lcd tv as a computer monitor ?

I have a Samsung 40" tv and have been using it as a computer monitor for the past year - it is so good I would never go back to an ordinary computer monitor. I have it connected to a Dell laptop and use a wireless keyboard and mouse. At a resolution of 1080p I use the zoom function of the browser as text is too small at the default size on web pages - would be OK if I sat closer.

My laptop is quite old and so I have to use the vga input on the tv. As the Dell doesn't support 1920 x 1080 as standard I use Powerstrip to give me this resolution in win xp. If you have a more modern pc you could probably use dvi to hdmi or hdmi to hdmi and not have this problem.

Good luck
