I thought to be HD ready you had to be at least 720p (1280 x 720) and have both a component and digital input capable of accepting atleast this resoution. Not that it matters, as resolution is one of the qualities least affecting image quality although at this low level a step up is happy accepted. I still wouldn't recomend anyone get one, your better to save up a bit more for the HD65 or a bit more again for the fantastic Planar 7010, although by this point it is a lot of money over the cheapo one it should give you literaly yeas of enjoyment.
