Re: Trouble With PS3 CONNECTING TO BT HOME HUB

Hi Movieman

I'm guessing that when you were connected wirelessly the DNS worked okay? I've never connected my ps3 with a cable, but assuming you're still manually setting the ps3's IP address and using the DNS addresses that the homehub provides (as mentioned in my earlier post) I can't see why it would generate an error. If you have done the above, then I can seriously recommend the two last steps which cured my constant problems (including the typical DNS errors) - resetting the ps3 and removing the device from the homehub etc. I hope that helps somehow.

cheers,
FourthDoc

Personally I've had no problem connecting wirelessly, it worked 1st time out of the box, due to the demand on the wireless connectivity in my house I decided to connect my ps3 via ethernet cable, however I cannot get this to work with my BT Home hub, keep getting DNS server error, do you not use DNS servers when connecting wirelessly. Ive been trying for 4 months with no joy, its sending me insane, tried most things off various forum, no body seems to have an answer, every body just seems to answer, "mine works fine" just as I did above, however I'm not computer literate enough to give advise.
