i sent mirai-eu a quick email asking them:

I'm interested in purchasing the DTL-642E500 LCD television but will
be feeding it from a PC using DVI to HDMI.
Will the TV display a 1920x1080 progressive signal at a 1:1 pixel
ratio?

and they replied the next day saying:

The answer is yes. I've seen it here and it looks good.
