Isn't HDMI supposed to incorporate HDCP by definition? Therefore, any HDMI equipment the OP buys cannot be, by definition, a simple switcher. It has to incorporate HDCP otherwise it isn't HDMI. And HDCP extends to audio so, if it's a genuine HDMI plug it has to incorporate audio. If it doesn't, the signal it carries isn't fully HDCP protected and therefore it isn't HDMI.
