i never gave them the serial number but assume they saw it was on there when i sent it in - i wouldn't be surprised if the serial number is repeated on the inside somewhere (speculation obviously) - if not i can't imagine they'll refuse to fix/sell you a replacement - hope i'm not wrong for your sake mate
why not just give them a call, organise and don't mention it unless they do!!!!!
