However, standard IRDA might not work. It's a different protocol from most DVD/VCR remotes, and does not always operate at the required high wavelength. Doesn't hurt to have a go though. |
Thanks for the info Greg...exactly what I was worried about... If I buy a non MR one and my IR port on my laptop won't work with the 696, then I'm stuck with a 696 which I can't make MR... wouldn't like to be in that situation.
