Can we assume that you bought it 2nd hand then? In which case it's just like buying a car (any car, not a Porsche or Ferrari or BMW or anything, just a car) - let somebody else (probably wealthier) take the initial hit on the residual value.

If it weren't for those people, I wouldn't have owned half the stuff I did over the years.
