Isn't the 60hz thingy to make full use of a PAL screen?
I may be wrong, but I'm sure I read somewhere that a lot of PS2 games have black bars all round the image and if there was a 60hz option within the games then it would use the full screen.

I'm sure someone who knows more about the Xbox will put me right
