I must admit this phenomena in your room is something peculiar. My gaming ahem I mean PC room is just a bit smaller than yours. The only soft parts are the thick carpet, curtains and my swivel chair. I've got a small hifi system in it and there's no issues with echoes of any sort. The only significant difference I can think of is all my walls are solid brick and mortar type and you have partition. Mmm
