Isn't there an age limit for UEFA ref's as well? I thought the Scottish limit was just the standard for europe.
The main issue with the ref's is that the younger ref's might not get promoted until they are getting on a fair bit at this rate. The actual time in the SPL might be limited as a career by ref's staying on to 50+ or even 60+
