having got the unit last night i simply used the supplied AV cable (yellow/white/red) and hooked it to my plasma and it all worked a treat - actually the quality seems pretty good for my needs. I have a hdmi to dvi cable on order so will also test with that when it arrives but am dubious as to whether i will get any sound via that method. Still I'm happy with the purchase so thats the main thing.
