I'm reluctant to open up the box as it still works for enough channels to make it worth keeping meantime. I would not know what to do, other than replace the box, if I found faulty capacitors.
Thanks for the suggestion. I am hoping someone has had a similar problem to mine - their box has lost some channels for no obvious reason - and have found a way to solve the problem.
