Intel killed it's set top box division so Boxee and Google will have to use different hardware for new products, GoogleTV has already moved onto the Marvel Armada 1500 a powerful Arm chipest, Boxee most likely will follow suit with the same hardware though that just my guess, the original Boxee Box was powered by an Arm based Nvidia Tegra 2 but it wasn't good enough at the time so it was replaced with the Intel chip.
Intel is going to stop making the chipset eventually so they are going to have to launch new products.
