Agree with those that preceded.

Add my vote to BSG (reboot) and Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes. And X-files.

Why as nobody mentioned 24? Class! What stands out is that the best shows know when to stop (even if they don't really want to).

And Lost brought it all together beautifully. I was gutted to learn the truth.

Can I say Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Lets say it fumbled rather than dropped the ball.
