I have seen this issue all over this website but not pertaining to wireless headphones and how they are hooked up, and nobody has an answer how to solve this. If you can, I would be in debt to you! I would silently say your name every time I powered up my XBox. Ha ha.
I recently purchased a pair of Turtle Beach x31 wireless headphones. They are great, and sound amazing. Unfortunately, if you use an HDMI cable, it requires you to also use the A/V plug in in the back, since you need it to hook up the red/white audio cord from the wireless receiver (you can pop off the cover to your XBox original cords, or purchase an A/V adapter to plug into the back of your XBox just above your HDMI plug in.) When I am plugged into both and I switch inputs, it resets my XBox. It has nothing to do with it being an Elite or not. It has to do with being plugged into both ports in the back (HDMI
and the old red/white/yellow port.) This is the only way I know to hook up the headphones without sacrificing High Definition. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or do I have to sacrifice picture quality for wireless headphone gaming in order to be able to switch TV inputs? I would rather have great picture than sound, but why can I not have both AND be able to switch TV input without it resetting? I have a Panasonic with Viera options that I have disabled so they won't auto shut off/on anything.
Can you not have HDMI AND an A/V adapter plugged in to the back of the XBox at the same time, or it will reset the XBox? That seems whack.
Any help would be appreciated. Sorry this is long winded, but this is week 2 of searching for an answer and nobody has solutions. You are a tech GOD if you solve this issue and not just give me the reasons it is happening, even though I am curious if this will happen no matter what if you plug into both ports in the back of the XBox.

HELP! And thank you!
