I got the Borderlands platinum, it never felt like a chore getting it either (some trophies on Rage are just way too faffy so I gave up). Unfortunately, I made the mistake of only buying the standard version of Borderlands so I missed out on all the DLC. The GOTY special edition seems really rare and IMO the PSN version is still a bit overpriced.
What was all the Rage sewer missions unlock and download stuff about? I only found one but it wasn't anything special - just go from A to B and kill all the mutants on the way (but the regular missions were like that too) ... why have it as a download?
