alpha, you're a star, looks like the perfect day out with all the culprits I'd like to audition under one roof
at least it will give me some idea of what works for me, but as dogbait says the headphones have to be matched to the amp, but it will be a good start, just need to see if Mrs Vipers fancy's a nice day out to sunny Birmingham.
