Instead of all the 'pro' 3Ders out there getting all defensive (and also seemingly a little offensive), why not try and persuade the doubters here a little bit more, diplomatically..?

I think it's important to remember, that everyone is different, and has different AV system priorities too! Some may prefer a huge, enveloping screen, or kick-ass sound system.

I do think it's hard to ignore that this technology is very much in it's infancy. I for one believe content is king- and there doesn't seem to be many movies easily available at the moment (not all movie buffs want to play video games).

As for 2D to 3D conversion, no thanks. Seriously, Ridley Scotts beautiful Panavision photography on Alien looked fine to me without ANY tinkering- I'd prefer movies were presented as they were meant to be seen, 2D, widescreen, whatever.... (if a director chooses to 'retro-fit 3D to a film that's his/her artistic choice)

At this moment in time I think the poll results kinda speak for themselves- people just arn't interested at the moment. Many may, (as I do) find the technology interesting and impressive, but just not enough content to make the expense worthwhile...
