Can't hellp too much on the Astro's, but for the HD PVR, yep, component cable for video and audio to the pvr, then optical to your headphones. Get the official sony component cable if you can as I had a few problems with an old PS2 cable I was using (swordfish had some issues too I think) You get a component cable with it to go from the PVR to your tv. You can use either EyeTV or HD PVR Capture
