Looks like a few folk have had issues with that drive and Windows 7...

Worth reading some of the links, there's mention of various drivers and different motherboard drivers etc....there's also mention of setting up IDE Enhanced Mode for the drive.
...but according to MS that drive is supported under Win 7...
