The sound is definitely quieter and the absence of any volume control with the new EPG is really anoying. What a ridiculous thing to leave out of the menu.
As for the rest of the menu, I am starting to get used to it and like some of the new features; but can't help thinking that something that was so simple extremely intuitive has been replaced with a clunky irritating mess. My wife hates it and now doesn't use the Sky box at all (Hooray).
As for the soft picture, I don't think it is caused by the new EPG, I thought mine had gone soft some time ago ( oh-er missus). But then you watch programmes like Fringe and the picture is stunning again. So what is going on, is it the content and how it is filmed or is it something more sinister like has been mentioned on other threads about bandwidth drops and codec changes?
