I have also downloaded the Windows 7 Pro 64Bit version which I want to install from Windows XP Pro. However, I have the same message as everyone else "setup.exe is not a valid win32 application" !
How on earth could Microsoft not have forseen this problem ?
I have therefore unpacked all the required files into the Expanded SetUp folder. However, I have been unable to create an ISO from these files using the instructions advised here :
Make bootable iso from student d/l - Windows 7 Forums
Running the command prompt gives the following result :
C:\Documents and Settings\Jude>C:\WINDOWS\system32\Oscdimg.exe -u2 -bC:\Users\Jude\Desktop\expandedSetup\boot\etfsboot .com -h C:\Users\Jud\Desktop\expandedSetup C:\7.iso

ERROR: Could not delete existing file "ûbC:\Users\Mark\Desktop\expandedSetup\boot\etfsbo ot.com"
Error 123: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
Does anyone please have any idea either what the problem is or advise an alternative way of creating an ISO from the fles in the Expanded Folder ?
Thank You
