Have you emailed the manufacturer(s) in the UK? They would know . . . we might speculate to know. Ask Canikon UK. Assume nothing! If you provide the serial number(s) to them, they ought to know if it/they was/were sold via a UK retailer, though that may not be an issue.

Takes 30 seconds to draft and send an email. Manufacturers operate different warranty policies, so check with them first.
