I'd certainly increase the crossover frequency a bit as the Eggs can't really reach down to 80Hz. You probably won't have to alter the gain much.
Depending on how the DVD is encoded and the settings on your amp, you should find that ANY low frequencies (such as the bass guitar and explosions) will come from the sub. Particularly as you only have small satellites as they simply can't reach these frequencies.

Glad it's going well. I wouldn't get too hung up on the phase control - if you can't hear much of a difference then it really doesn't matter!

As with all this stuff and especially with subwoofers, everyone's room and setup is different so don't be afraid to tweak the settings to your taste.

If it's your first sub I can only recommend turning up the gain as far as you feel necessary
