Re: Orange contract question

Absolutely no joy now, and I'm starting to get really miffed. I think I've made maybe five calls now, and each one has been met with a blank refusal to help.

That article at "BitterWallet" (link several posts above) was really helpful, by the way.

The main sticking point seems to be that I haven't received a text yet. Not a one of the operators will even answer my question as to whether these changes to charges will affect my tariff or not - they are all refusing to speak to me about it. That is, apart from the first guy I spoke to, who confirmed it would, then denied this counted as "direct communication" (read the BitterWallet article for more info on that). Orange have since then refused to cancel my contract, as I can't prove the extra charges apply to me. I am almost certain they will, judging by experiences other people have had (and if that first guy was right), but Orange are just flat out ignoring the contract, even quoted verbatim.

I have reached an impasse - they won't even tell me by when I should receive the text message.

I am tempted to write to Ofcom.
